Red or white, Ambassadeur is produced by combining natural fortified wines, made from rape juice kept for at least two years in barrels and aromatised with orange, curacao or vanilla flavourings. With an alcohol content of 16°, this wine-based aperitif, created in 1936 by Pierre Pourchet, is drunk straight, with a little lemon or orange zest. The leader in the quinine tonic wines sector, Ambassadeur is in third place in the wine-based aperitifs market.
