Founded in 1838, Monnet Cognac was formed when Charente vineyard owners, "Bouilleurs de Cru", merged to a company, which has been continuously managed by the Monnet Family.

Monnet Cognacs are aged in Limousin-oak barrels, stored in the “chais”, a series of air-conditioned halls.

The company's insignia, a salamander, is the symbol of constancy. King Franz I was born in the Cognac and adopted this figure on his coat of arms.
