About Southern Australia

Barossa valley :
This is the most important region of southern Australia for quality wines. This is also the paradise for lovers of syrahs, even if some of them comes from an assemblage called "gsm" (syrah, grenache, mourvèdre). The style of wines is there opulent and heady.

Clare valley :
One hundred kilometres north of Adelaide, the climate close to Barossa valley is also well-suited for syrah as well as riesling, which can give special results.

Coonawarra :
The currents of the Antarctic and the summer winds of west make for a rather cool climate. Iron rich red loam--"the red earth"--is a very interesting terroir for Cabernet-sauvignon. The wines are reminiscnet of those found in Médoc, in Bordeaux region.

Eden valley :
Riesling, chardonnay, merlot and syrah can give very good results there.

Other vignobles : Padthaway, Adelaide hills, McLaren valley, Langhorne creek, Kangaroo island, Currency creek.
